Turkey 2016 — Wanderlusting for Good

Kicking off my big Summer trip with being scammed by taxi. Glad it happened because from that moment on, I switched modes from naive tourist to DFWM 😤

The plan was: get to Istanbul (i had a 24 hour transit that I purposely scheduled in and applied a visa for) to check out the city and the Blue Mosque, relax at the hotel before my next leg to Tel Aviv..

Reality: taxi driver scam took all my cash, I got lost because he dropped me off nowhere near my hotel, I had to get the tourism office to help me figure how to get there by bus and on foot.. showered and crashed til 2AM, worked until sunrise and chilled on the rooftop (admiring the Blue Mosque from afar) 😩😩😩😩

Was so looking forward to Turkish cuisine

Taxi scams aside, Turkey definitely deserves extra time to explore. Will be back!
